It's done, it's in the bag and it's now too late to do any thing about. That's right, the Austrian Oak is now officially the governor of the state of California, having been sworn in before an audience of 7500 people on the steps of the state's capitol building in Sacramento. Watched by supporters, dignitaries and fellow celebrities, Schwarzenegger took his oath and began his quest to pull America's wealthiest state out of its $25 billion deficit. "I am humbled, I am honoured and I am moved beyond words to be your governor," said the brawny star. "I enter this office beholden to no one except you, my fellow citizens... I pledge my governorship to your interests, not to special interests." Schwarzenegger's first act in the Governor's hot-seat will be to reverse his predecessor's controversial 'car tax', a move that critics believe will plunge the state into further financial difficulties. Still, the man managed to make a hit out of Twins so he can probably do anything if he puts his mind to it.
