Russell’s Bouncing Baby Boy

Former lout and reformed barroom brawler, Russell Crowe officially became a role model on Sunday night when his first child was brought into the world. Crowe's wife, Danielle Spencer, gave birth to a boy weighing in at 6.2 pounds. "He's a healthy, bouncing baby boy looking forward to Christmas," said Crowe's publicist. Since tying the knot in April, old Russ has kissed goodbye to his binge-drinking and rumpus-causing past and prepared himself for the rigours of fatherhood instead. The arrival of Charles Spencer Crowe should serve to keep the actor on the straight and narrow for the foreseeable future - something the organisers of next year's BAFTA ceremony will be pleased to hear.
