The Polish-born director of top flics Rosemary's Baby and Chinatown might be returning to the US from Europe to face sentencing for a teenage sex scandal. He's been in exile for twenty years and the rumour was that a deal had been struck with the Los Angeles district attorney's office to avoid a jail term. However according to an LAPD spokesman, "Mr. Polanski must surrender. We have not agreed to any sentence." Certainly a story we'll be keeping an eye on...
