Paramount Pictures and MTV Films are getting ready to rock.

Writer Tim Dowling will write and Gavin O’Connor will direct a film based on Gordon Korman’s comic novel Born To Rock.

It’s a coming-of-age tale about Leo, a college-bound young Republican who sees his shot at Harvard snatched away after mistakenly being implicated in a school prank. Then he learns that his real father is a rock icon about to embark on a reunion tour. Leo heads out on tour hoping to tap dad’s wallet for tuition cash and their father-son relationship develops along the way.
