Roberts Commits to Thomas Crowne Affair

Julia Roberts has joined the cast of the remake of The Thomas Crowne Affair. The original, which was a corker, starred Faye Dunaway and Steve McQueen; this one will star Pierce Brosnan (who's co-producing) and Roberts. Previously it was rumoured that Cameron Diaz would co-star. The film concerns a property tycoon who masterminds a bank heist and becomes involved with Roberts' beautiful insurance investigator.
