Forget the Governator, the next star of US politics may well be the Benator. Ben Affleck has been tipped to for the Virginia Democrats against Republican Senator George Allen in next year's election, adding his name to the list of stars swapping showbiz for politics. It's all hearsay at the moment but Affleck and wife Jennifer Garner are said to have been shopping for houses in Charlottesville, Virginia and according to a University of Virginia professor, once Affleck's name was mooted by Democrats "It spread pretty widely, at least in the political underground".
