Cult favourite novel Youth In Revolt is planning to take over cinemas.
Dimension Films has scooped up the rights to CD Payne’s novel about a 16-year-old who keeps a diary of his quest to lose his virginity.
In what the filmmakers hope will be the next American Pie, the film will push the raunchy boundaries of sexual humour and aims to build on an audience that loves the book. Gustin Nash has adapted the script.
"Gustin Nash wrote a phenomenal script with all of the necessary elements to make a commercial hit," Bob Weinstein told Variety. Expect a director to be announced soon.
