Razzie Nominations Announced

Bad year for Bumblebee

Razzie Nominations Announced

As if timed to coincide with Empire's definitive list of the Top 50 Worst Movies Ever, this year's Golden Raspberry Award nominations, the anti-Oscars for all films awful, have just been announced.

2009 is described by the Razzie Foundation as "a banner year for bad movies", and as such, the categories are hotly contested. Leading the nominations however, are Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen and Land of the Lost, with seven nominations each. G.I. Joe is just behind with six. Awwww, Land of the Lost isn't that bad...

Soft targets? Well, of course: that's what the Razzies does - and they've also gone for lots of rather lazy so-and-so "and any co-star" in the Worst Screen Couple category, just to really reinforce the impression that they're going through the motions. Given the year, there are also three special categories for the worst actor, actress and movie of the last decade.

The results will be announced on March 6th, the night before the Oscars, and the full list of nominations is below. Wonder if any of the winners will turn out to be Halle Berry style jolly-good-sports, and show up to accept their trophy?
