At the rate he’s switching actors on sci-fi thriller Jumper, Doug Liman might just go ahead and swap the casting couch for a trampoline.
After Hayden Christensen replaced Tom Sturridge on the movie, another role has been “reconceived” from a 20-year-old woman to a 25-year-old and The OC’s Rachel Bilson has joined the cast, replacing Teresa Palmer.
Liman is shooting now in Toronto, with Samuel L Jackson and Jamie Bell (probably). Jumper aims to be out in early 2008, though we’ll wait and see on that one. And it may eventually arrived with a different title and a new plot, swapped out for the current storyline of a young man who discovers he can teleport – and goes hunting for the man who killed his mum.
