Quinn Signs for Violins

Legends of the Fall star, Aidan Quinn has clinched the male lead in the latest Wes Craven-directed drama, 50 Violins. Quinn will star opposite Meryl Streep - who bagged the role earlier this year after Madonna walked out - and Gloria Estefan. Streep plays Roberta Tsavares, who taught classical violin to inner-city kids with great success. Quinn - currently starring in Practical Magic - plays a former schoolfriend who gets the violin teacher's into the sack and then introduces her to the Harlem school where she hatches the program. Shooting is due to begin in New York on Monday.
