Early rumours that the World Premiere of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone is already fully booked, will have fans champing at the bits for any other opportunity to see the film before its official release. So you can expect the UK auction site QXL to be inundated with bids for an auction for a limited number of tickets to the UK Charity premiere for the film. The auction offers some tickets to the screening in Edinburgh on the 6 November 2001 - ten full days before the movie's UK release date. The icing on the cake will be the appearance of Potter author JK Rowling. Her soft spot for Edinburgh is well documented - she wrote the book in a coffee shop in the Scottish capital.
