Politics and movies mix at Cannes

United Nations chief Kofi Annan joined John Travolta yesterday to watch the opening movie at Cannes - Primary Colors, a political satire about an insatiable presidential candidate. The evening was hosted by French actress Isabelle Huppert, and saxophonist Joshua Redman played a solo be-bop rendition of "New York, New York" to honor Martin Scorsese, chairman of the jury.
