The American DVD release of Pearl Harbor will see director Michael Bay revisit his “opus” and create a director’s cut. The new R-rated version of the film will be included as part of a proposed three-disc package. At the film’s massive May premiere, Bay is reported as saying that he would have liked to have made a more violent movie; Disney had insisted that it be released in a form suitable to earn the more box-office friendly PG-13 rating.
