After 42 years and over 50 roles, legendary American actor Paul Newman has decided to quit the movie business. At a screening of his new film Magic Hour he announced, "This is my last picture. It better be a good one." Known for his parts in such movie milestones as The Long Hot Summer (1958), Cat On A Hot Tin Roof (1958), The Hustler (1961), Cool Hand Luke (1967), Butch Cassidy And The Sundance Kid (1969) and The Color Of Money, for which he won an Oscar in 1987, Newman is a true cinema icon and the world of the moving image will be a poorer place without him. Sniff.
