Oscar nominee for Lawrence Role

Secrets And Lies star Marianne Jean-Baptiste will play Doreen Lawrence, the mother of murdered teenager Stephen, in a TV movie about the family's fight for justice. Marianne - who won Oscar and Golden Globe supporting actress nominations for her role in the Mike Leigh flick, will play opposite Hugh Quarshie who will play Stephen's father Neville in The Murder Of Stephen Lawrence, which is about to begin production. Quarshie recently starred in the BBC's A Respectable Trade.
