Hot on the heels of news that Toy Story 3 will get its UK gala screening at the Edinburgh Film Festival this summer, Disney have dropped a gem on us in the shape of this new one-sheet for the film. The poster shows Woody, Buzz and the gang going on the lam from Sunnyside Daycare in a Great Escape-styled break-out.
For McQueen, Bronson, Coburn and Pleasance, read Potato Head, Ham, Rex and Lots-O'-Huggin' Bear. Oh, and Ken and Barbie who, judging by this poster, are already an item by the time of the escape. The objective, we imagine, is to get back to the college-bound Andy's house - and, of course, to leave no toy behind.
The new additions including Chatter Telephone, seen here boasting the kind of mischievous grin that suggests he's just put Woody through to one of those 0898 numbers.
{Chatter Telephone}Awaited with an eagerness that's fast approaching pathological in these parts, Toy Story 3 will get its first British airing in Edinburgh on Saturday 19 June. And all in (proper) 3D, to boot. Snaffle your tickets from 3 June from the Edinburgh Film Festival site.
The rest of us will have to wait until the movie's release on Friday 23 June to find out if the escape comes good or the toys all end up back in the Sunnyside cooler.
