With just 148 days until J.J. Abrams’ **Star Trek **reboot hits our screens (who’s counting?), Paramount has released a new high-res, black-and-white banner featuring all of the U.S.S. Enterprise’s key crew-members. The image looks to our eyes like a composite of the edgy second round character shots from a couple of months ago but we’re not complaining, with the banner positively exuding bullish confidence.
Confidence is the least you'd expect with Abrams involved, especially with post-production scheduled to finish by Christmas, but it's reassuring to hear the director's emphasis on crew chemistry in his recent pronouncements. "The characters had already been working together, they already knew each other. They had this history. The origin of those relationships was something that probably would have helped me, at least, connect to them and understand why I should care about them and who they were."

The banner is awash with steely-eyed focus from the Enterprise crew, not least from an unusually intense Simon Pegg as Scotty, looking like he may have been at McCoy’s oxypheromalkahyde supplies
