Update: Sorry to disappoint, but we've checked with Lucasfilm and the Reuters story has its facts wrong. The next look at Crystal Skull is still a little while away. But, hey, the next Empire, out next week, will have tons of Indy IV coverage to keep you sated in the mean time. Shameless plug over.
In a news story on widgets – of the computer related kind, rather than those ones that were big news in beer in the late '90s – Reuters has reported that there will be a second trailer for Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull debuting online this week. No talk on what day it will break, but given that it's the Easter weekend on Friday, could we see it as early as tomorrow?
This seems awfully quick after the release of the first trailer, but we're not complaining at all. The movie is only about eight weeks away from hitting cinemas*, so it would make sense in those terms. The Reuters article talks about the fact that the trailer can be dropped into blogs and such, via widgets. The person who distributes the most widgets can win tickets to the movie's premiere. Writing widgets a lot feels silly.
