New Dark Knight Viral Campaign Kicks Off

Last week, a Dark Knight viral website ibelieveinharveydent.com asked people to submit their email address and phone number to help the campaign of Harvey Dent, who – really well known spoiler alert – will become Two-face in The Dark Knight.

Today, that same website has been updated as a kind of campaign hub for Dent's (played by Aaron Eckhart) race to become District Attorney. Head here for a look.

It's essentially asking you to download the campaign posters and capture you and your friends on film looking cheerfully silly in support of Dent. The 'Dentmobile' will also be travelling the US.

This is pretty much a flip-side to the Joker campaign that happened a few months ago, and has now understandably taken a back seat after Heath Ledger's passing. Instead of inciting people to (very friendly) anarchy, this is encouraging fun in a more wholesome way. Does this mean we'll soon be rewarded with a first look at Two-Face? The Dark Knight will be making a presentation at next week's ShoWest convention, so we might get something then. Check back for our report from there next week.

In related news, Wizard Universe has a little chat with Eckhart about how he's approaching the character. There's not a lot revealed in terms of story, but a lot on how we'll see how Harvey Dent's actions in this film and what he sees of Gotham come to inform the opposing personalities he'll have as Two-Face. Read that here.
