Everything's been rather quiet in Wakanda of late, with not so much as a peep from Ryan Coogler's Black Panther since the footage revealed at this year's Comic-Con. That all changed today, however, with a brand new trailer leaping online, one that provides our first proper glimpse of Michael B. Jordan's Erik Killmonger in action. Watch the footage below.

Co-written by Coogler and Joe Robert Cole, Black Panther returns us to the African nation of Wakanda, seen previously in the MCU, most notable at the end of Captain America: Civil War. Chadwick Boseman plays the Panther himself, heroic alter-ego of T'Challa, Wakanda's protector and ruler since his father's death in Civil War.

Also starring in the film are Lupita Nyong'o, Danai Gurira, Angela Bassett, Forest Whitaker, Sterling K. Brown, Martin Freeman and Andy Serkis, who reprises his role as Ulysses Klaue, the arms dealer who first cropped up in Avengers: Age Of Ultron.

Black Panther arrives in UK cinemas on 16 February 2018.
