IGN has the brand new trailer for Aliens VS Predator: Requiem, which you can see here.
We've been wary of the film thus far, but we have to say we quite like this trailer. Certainly a lot more than the previous, ultra-gory trailer – which you can see at the same link – which just felt like it was trying too hard to be revolting.
In the second of the sci-fi mash-up series, the Aliens and Predator (is it just the one this time?) descend on a small town, where they rip bits out of each other and the locals.
If the film keeps the trailer's minimal, suggestive appearance of the alien creatures, then this could bring the franchise to a place it should be and erase memories of the woeful original. HR Geiger's creatures have always been more frightening when you just see that aerodynamic head lurking into view or lingering behind something diaphanous. And the maiming set to Silent Night at the end? Love that. Yes, we're sick puppies.
Aliens Vs Predator: Requiem will hit UK cinemas on January 18.
