Looks like there's a confrontation brewing between the Director of the British Board of Film Classification, James Ferman, and Jack Straw. Ferman accused Straw of playing "to the puritanical vote" by demanding a crackdown on sex and violence on British releases. He particularly defended the Board's decision to give a certificate to Kissed. "There are no taboo themes in cinema, only taboo treatments." Interesting artistic point, James. Wonder what Jack would make of it...
Who needs the Puritanical vote?
