“Movies Are Kind Of Binary”

Has Hollywood finally melted Hanks' brain...?

The man who once famously said in a film, "Life is like a box of chocolates," has now, in real life, come out with something altogether more bizarre, mind-boggling and which is, to be frank - utter tripe. Says Tom Hanks: "Movies are kind of binary" reckons the star of Saving Private Ryan. "They're either zero or one. There are no other numbers. If they're a zero they're a job you show up and you do. If it's a one you're totally involved. It's something you can't shake off every day" Of course Tom. Just quite what Mr Hanks is going on about, Hollywood - as with the rest of the world - is at a loss to know. Certainly comparing a film to computer code existing of nothing more than thousands of lines of two digits is indeed very, very odd. But much like the Emperor's new clothes, it's doubtful that anyone will question it in the mad hatter's tea party that is Hollywood life.
