Minnie Driver is Beautiful

Brit actress Minnie Driver has committed to a new movie project, Beautiful. A black comedy, it's about a poor girl from Illinois who becomes obsessed with winning beauty pageants and becoming Miss America. The film follows her journey through the bizarre world of walking about in bathing suits and high heels, wearing pale lipstick and saving the world through makeup promotion - and all despite a complete lack of help from her abusive, neglectful parents. Apparently she was attracted to the part by the amusing script.
