FBI agents Bill Tench (Holt McCallany) and Holden Ford (Jonathan Groff) are back, and that can only mean one thing for Mindhunter's Season 2 teaser: joy, happiness and rainbows! Just kidding... It's a return to the dark world of serial killers and law enforcement profilers trying to stop them. Check out the footage below.
The second season finds the agents investigating the Atlanta Child Murders that targeted African Americans in the city between 1979 and 1981 and, as usual, our heroes will be turning to incarcerated serial killers (including Cameron Britton's Edmund Kemper) to unlock the brains of their fellow criminals. The new episodes will look at the moment when conversations about serial killers — like Charles Manson (Damon Herriman takes the role, and coincidentally also plays the murderous cult leader in Once Upon A Time... In Hollywood) as well as the Son of Sam killer — entered the public consciousnesses.
Created by Joe Penhall, the series also boats David Fincher as an executive producer, who kicks off the new season by directing the first episode. Mindhunter will return to Netflix on 16 August.
