Oscar nominated director Mike Figgis is to teach a film-making masterclass through the Faber Academy. The celebrated director of Leaving Las Vegas (starring Nicholas Cage and Elizabeth Shue) is looking to share the wealth of his knowledge with the lucky participants of this course.
Aspiring film-makers can question Figgis about the whole creative process in a creative environment where answers can both be demonstrated and practically explained.
Using his film Timecode as a working example he will: "unpick the cinematic threads and explore how the film evolved," and will "explain the fundamental building blocks of modern digital film-making while offering insight into his own aesthetic."
The event will take place between 2 - 4 February 2009, and costs a paltry £400 for the whole course.
