Sony Pictures, owners of two of the films most significantly affected by this week's tragedy, have announced their plans for both Men in Black 2 and Spider-Man. Speaking to Variety, a Sony Pictures spokesperson explained that the ending for MIB2 - which was to feature the World Trade Center - will now be changed. 'There was a scene set against the background of the World Trade Center,' the studio explained, 'and given yesterday's tragedy, we are now in the process of looking at alternatives.' In addition, the studio will also review scenes shot in New York over the summer - and any scenes found to contain images of the World Trade Center will be scrapped. Columbia TriStar (also part of the Sony empire) yesterday pulled the Spider-Man trailer from the official website and cinemas, and this morning came news that all posters and banners from the film are being removed from cinemas in both the US and UK. An Empire Online reader emailed us this morning to tell us that adverts for Dr Pepper and Virgin Atlantic were also being removed from cinemas - although the reasons for this move remain unclear.
