With the cameras now rolling the fourth Matrix film is inching that much closer to being absolute reality. And the movie had added another cast member as Andrew Caldwell is joining the ensemble.

As per usual with a big film like this, we don't know what role he'll be filling. But he joins a group that already includes returning veterans Keanu Reeves, Carrie-Anne Moss and Jada Pinkett Smith, plus new faces Priyanka Chopra, Jessica Henwick, Eréndira Ibarra, Neil Patrick Harris, Toby Onwumere and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II.

With original co-director Lana Wachowski flying solo this time (after co-writing a script alongside Aleksandar Hemon and David Mitchell), the plot details are just as much under wraps, though we're keeping our fingers crossed for more inventive action than head-scratching cod-philosophy and convoluted plot machinations, as evidenced by the two previous sequels.

Caldwell isn't exactly a household name in the UK, though he's appeared in films such as Haunt, Tenacious D In The Pick Of Destiny and TV series including Henry Danger and iZombie.

The Matrix 4 (or whatever they end up calling it), is scheduled to arrive on 21 May next year.
