Terminator and Aeon Flux producer Gale Anne Hurd is set to start to work on Magdalena, a tale drawn from a Top Cow comic book and imbued with strong religious-mythological over tones.
The story centres on a girl called Patience, who shares her lineage with a line of warrior women descended from Mary Magdalene and must save the world from all sorts of nasty evil.
