Lucasfilm is reported to be delving into the world of anime in a partnership with Japanese animation company Anime World Osaka. The focus of this collaboration is to be a full-length anime feature about a very little fairy. The Tiny Fairy Mirun (or Chiisana Yosei Mirun in Japanese) follows the story of the titular sprite who flutters down to Earth and is able to communicate with people through the help of a crow. The Yomiuri Shimbun newspaper reports that George Lucas will be taking the role of producer for the $18.5 million project, the details for which are due to be finalised when Lucas visits Osaka in September.
