Does Lolita glamorise pedophilia?

It's been coming, and here it is after the British Board of Film Classification (BBFC) gave Lolita an 18 certificate for public release. In the States, there is no distributor willing to show it. "This film appears to glamorize and normalize the activities of pedophile behavior. ... the BBFC seems incapable of differentiating between what is corrupt and healthy," said Valerie Riches of Family and Youth Concern. Meanwhile according to John Beyer, of the National Viewers' and Listeners' Association, "I think the BBFC is attempting to make sexual abuse of children into entertainment, and I think that's quite wrong.
