You would really think that at this stage in his cinematic career, people would know not to cross Liam Neeson. But here were are again, as he grimaces while holding a gun and laying the smack down on some silly people who try his patience in the Honest Thief trailer.
Thief Tom Carter (Neeson) has stolen $9 million from small-town banks while managing to keep his identity a secret. But after he falls in love with the bubbly Annie (Kate Walsh), Tom decides to make a fresh start by coming clean about his criminal past.
That, of course, is when things get complicated. The agents assigned to bring him in and collect his loot (Jai Courtney and Anthony Ramos) decide that they can double cross Tom and keep the loot for themselves. And when they go after Annie, that really doesn't sit well with Tom. Cue, well, you know...
With Mark Williams – not the one from The Fast Show and Harry Potter – directing (and co-writing alongside Steve Allrich), Honest Thief will hit US cinemas (current world situation allowing) on 9 October. We're still waiting to hear when it might make it to the UK.
