Cheaper By The Dozen director Shawn Levy has beaten Mummy helmer Stephen Sommers to get the nod for Fox’s A Night At The Museum, an action romp penned by Ben Garant and Thomas Lennon.
The film is about a guard at a natural history exhibit who triggers an ancient curse that brings the long-dead creatures to life, causing chaos in the museum and possibly hilarious results.
Levy’s new production company, 21 Laps, will produce the project alongside Chris Columbus and his 1492 Prods. After directing Big Fat Liar and Just Married, Levy most recently helmed the remake of The Pink Panther.
