Leo’s Posse Decks Jealous Actor

It seems that for Leonardo DiCaprio if it's not his troubled life on the Beach, it's troubled life elsewhere - namely on the mainland with actor Roger Wilson concerning a fight over Wilson's girlfriend, actress Elizabeth Berkley of Showgirls. The problem however, is that the 'trouble' has the potential to hit Leo hard in his wedged-up wallet to the tune of $45 million. Why? Wilson became less than pleased with the interest Leo was showing in the voluptuous Berkley, and promptly told him to back off. Not one to take it lying down, boy wonder did as Wilson asked, then incited one of his pals, then his whole gang to hit him, so the claim goes. The alleged incident took place outside the Asia de Cuba restaurant in New York on March 4 last year, though of course, through his lawyer, DiCaprio denied the charges. Wilson claims he went to the restaurant to confront DiCaprio and his actor friend, Jay Ferguson over alleged telephone calls to Berkley. First the irate Wilson had a go at Leo over his publicist, Ken Sunshine, for divulging Berkley's phone number; Ferguson then blurted out with alcohol-laced breath that it wasn't Leo who called Wilson's girlfriend at all, it was in fact him, at which point he stood up and asked Wilson if he wanted to take the matter outside. Wilson lead the way. At this point, the best thing Leo could have done was keep schtum and calm the situation - but in his drunken state, Leo banged in the final nail, and according to court papers, "turned to his posse" and ordered them to beat up Wilson. The showdown outside involved Wilson surrounded by DiCaprio and his "posse"; insults flew, as did a punch, before the situation was brought to a halt. Wilson's lawyer, Paul Licalsi, says his client was hit only once because other members of the group pulled the attacker away. DiCaprio's lawyer on the other hand, issued a statement calling Wilson's court papers "a collection of false claims, lies and defamatory misrepresentations regarding an incident provoked by the irresponsible behaviour of Mr. Wilson himself."
