Larry Flynt, the subject of Milos Foreman's 1996 film The People Vs Larry Flynt, is to relive the 1977 trial which featured in the movie. Flynt and his brother Jimmy face 15 counts of obscenity related charges that centre on the sale of a sexually explicit video to a fourteen year-old boy at their Hustler store in Cincinnati. Flynt is reportedly looking forward to the trial which begins on Monday, as he views this as an opportunity to defend his rights under the First Amendment. He claims he was denied the Amendment, the right to free speech, during his 1977 trial, when he received a seven to twenty five year sentence which was over-turned by the appeals court a week later.
