With film and TV workers forced to down tools and stay at home during the pandemic, creative types have been finding fun ways to express themselves and keep links with colleagues strong. One such example is the TikTok Fight Challenge, the most famous of which is the Boss Bitch Fight Challenge led and shared by stunt veteran Zoe Bell. Now the animation geniuses at LAIKA Studios have created their own.
LAIKA's team has used stop-motion and other animated techniques to cook up an inventive version of the challenge, featuring characters such as Coraline (the heroine of the company's first full-length movie) and some of the physical crew members who help bring their films to life. Oh, and cows. Because what's a battle royal without cows?
It shows off the typical talent of the LAIKA gang and has some fun gags. Animated film teams have been able to continue some work given the ability to work remotely, but we can't help but look forward to seeing their achievements on the big screen again.
