LA Confidential goes free

Films are having a hard time in Zimbabwe at the moment. Last month Starship Troopers was banned because it included degrading scenes of insects eating humans, then they considered LA Confidential just a little too racy after the food riots in January. Thankfully the Zimbabwe Board of Censors has now lifted its ban, two days after the film won two Oscars. Good news for Zimbabwean filmgoers who will now be able to see 1997's best film.
