King Convalesces at Home

Stephen King is convalescing at home after weeks in hospital following a road accident on June 19. The writer was hit by a van while out walking near his home in Maine, resulting in a number of operations to repair broken bones. Though still too weak to speak to the press, King released a statement thanking well-wishers for their support during his medical treatment. He now faces up to a year of physiotherapy before he is fully recovered.
