Return to Castle Wolfenstein heads for the screen

It seems that studios just can't churn out computer game adaptations quick enough these days with half your PlayStation library cropping up at the local cinema. The almost universally tepid reaction to such conversions seems to have done little to stem the tide however with Return to Castle Wolfenstein being the latest addition to the pixelated pantheon. The popular PC game is set during WWII and stars your typically unstoppable one-man-army (think Schwarzenegger on angel dust), assigned to the Office of Secret Actions. Given the (certain death) assignment of infiltrating Heinrich Himmler's base of operations - Castle Wolfenstein - our hero must get stuck into the bosh and put a stop to their evil occult experimentations. Little does he know however, that the Nazis have resurrected an ancient demon knight to aid their evil cause. With no less than two of the team having slogged through the game from start to fininsh, Empire Online can attest that Return to Castle Wolfenstein holds more than enough bloody mayhem to flesh out a 90 minute screen adventure. Here's hoping the leather-clad Nazi dominatrix assassins remain intact during the transition.
