Sony is continuing the build out its Spider-Man-adjacent Marvel universe, hiring the likes of Olivia Wilde to work on movies. The latest person nabbing a Spider-gig is Triple Frontier's JC Chandor, who will tackle a Kraven The Hunter film.

Sergei Kravinoff aka Kraven the Hunter, who is one of Spider-Man’s best known and most formidable enemies as well as the half-brother of the Chameleon. He's a character that Sony has been trying to bring to the screen for a while – he's been rumoured for the Amazing Spider-Man movies and a film about him has been in development. The Equalizer's Richard Wenk wrote the script, which Chandor will likely work on.

This is just the latest move on the Spider-front by the studio, which has Morbius and Venom: Let There Be Carnage on the way next year. The next main Spider-Man film, with Tom Holland returning, will shoot early next year. And along with the just-reported Wilde film, SJ Clarkson is developingMadame Web and Marc Guggenheim is writing aJackpotmovie.
