While the worldwide pandemic and resulting lockdowns have sent all of our schedules out of whack, it can be easy to lose track of time. Is it still March? But even given that, we had to check that it wasn't actually April 1st when we learned that Jason Momoa is on to voice Frosty The Snowman.

Yes, the artist formerly known as Khal Drogo and currently as Aquaman, will indeed bring the world's most famous snowy creation to life for a new live-action.CG hybrid that Warner Bros. is building.

Elf's David Berenbaum is on script patrol, and should be familiar Frosty archetype after helping to bring Leon the Snowman to life in that film (even if he's based on Sam from the Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer special and not Frosty).

Frosty himself began life in a song written by Walter "Jack" Rollins and Steve Nelson, and first recorded by Gene Autry and the Cass County Boys in 1950. But he's mostly known thanks to the Rankin-Bass TV special from 1969. To sum up his story for those who may be unfamiliar: he's a snowman brought to life by a magical silk hat that kids place on his head. We'll have to wait and see what new spin Berenbaum and producers Jon Berg, Greg Silverman and Geoff Johns are looking to put on the story. My snow-man!
