Don't worry. Arnie won't be moving in next door. Although we're sure he's a nice polite neighbour who trims his hedges regularly. David Aukin and Colin Levanthal, the men credited with the success of Channel Four films such as Shallow Grave, Four Weddings and a Funeral, Secrets and Lies and that Scottish one beginning with T, are linking up with Miramax. The possible formation of the Miramax UK would be a massive boost for the UK film industry. It could see as many as 20 major Brit flics being made each year. There appear to be fears that we could "overheat" due to a lack of sufficient creative talent and audience. Naturally we scorn such mealy mouthed nonsense. The UK's always had the talent, we just lacked the finance. Next week's competition will be to suggest a location for those big letters...
