While it pains us physically to send our readers elsewhere on the web, we really must recommend that you go and take a look at this great picture. Taken by The Sun, it shows the erstwhile hobbit Elijah Wood going somewhat loopy watching West Ham play football this weekend. At first glance we were more than slightly concerned that all that time spent in New Zealand getting in touch with nature and bonding with his fellow cast members had had the opposite effect on Wood, who from the looks of it was ready to mix it up with his fellow footie fans. Then we scanned the story and realised that Wood wasn’t at Upton Park for the thrill of the sport, but rather as part of the shoot for his latest movie, The Yank. In it, Wood plays an American student caught up in the world of football hooliganism. ‘It's a movie ' Elijah told MTV earlier this month. ‘Fans of football there sort of form these factions and fight amongst [each other]. It's a massive part of the culture. It's all throughout Europe and a lot of it is prevalent in England. I play an American who gets mixed up in that world after coming over to visit his sister...It'll be pretty incredibly violent and realistic.' All together now...'You're shit and you know you are!'
