You may be preparing for Christmas 2005 (only, oooh, loads of shopping days to go) but New Line Cinema is already looking to next festive season, having just greenlit SantaKid.
Written by Seth Bass and Jonathan Tollins, the film will follow the misadventures of a billionaire’s 10-year-old daughter, after her father grabs ownership of Santa Claus’ operations. When the girl is given a faulty doll for Christmas, she heads out on a quest to save Santa.
The script is based on a children’s book by James Patterson, better known as the author of Kiss The Girls and Along Came A Spider.
