The Hobbit movie, or rather the enduring lack of a movie of the Lord of the Rings prequel, has been one of the most discussed projects of the last few years, largely because of the falling out between New Line and Peter Jackson, which has held the movie in limbo.

Don't get too excited about the movie happening though. As the piece says, olive branches are being tentatively extended between New Line head Bob Shaye and Jackson, but the film – if it ever happens – is still a way off.
