We've already had some casting details for Disney's new, live-action adaptation of The Little Mermaid and a rising star has snagged one of the key roles. Hamilton veteran Daveed Diggs is in talks to voice Sebastian.

The Blindspotting and Wonder actor is in line to be the chatty crab who happens to be one of Ariel (Halle Bailey)'s best friends. In the original animated film, he sings the iconic song 'Under The Sea,' so it'll be interesting what sort of spin Diggs puts on that.

With Rob Marshall directing, the cast also includes Melissa McCarthy, Jacob Tremblay, Awkwafina and Javier Bardem, and it'll feature new music from original composer Alan Menken and Hamilton creator Lin-Manuel Miranda, which should mean some good material for Diggs.

The Little Mermaid doesn't yet have a set release date, but given how the casting is ramping, expect an announcement soon.
