Halloween Kills

Halloween might be over for another year (and possibly disappointing this time if you were in one of the places where Trick-or-Treating/parties were problematic), but we can still look forward to next year, when the latest Halloween offering from David Gordon Green, Halloween Kills lands. A brief teaser for the movie arrived at the weekend.

The next movie in Green's set of three films (Halloween Ends will show up in 2022) is set shortly after the 2018 movie ends, as firefighters put out the flames at Laurie Strode's (Jamie Lee Curtis) house. She's naturally horrified, as that means there's every chance that Michael Myers will once again be back to track her down.

Of course, there wouldn't be a Halloween movie if Michael didn't return (nobody bring up Halloween III: Season Of The Witch, you'll only start our Chris singing the song again).

Written by Green alongside Scott Teems and regular collaborator Danny McBride, Halloween Kills will be out on 15 October next year.

In related Halloween news, Green has also produced a more unexpected spin-off.... A children's book based on John Carpenter's original film. Created by Green and author/artist Onur Tukel, the book will introduce younger audiences to the masked, victim-slaying terror. Because you can only read Peppa Pig so many times, right?

"Joining this iconic franchise has been one of the most fulfilling artistic endeavors of my career…with this new chapter, we hope to share our own love for Halloween with a new generation of horror fanatics," says Green. The trailer for the book, which is set to be published in December, can be found below.
