Can it really be a year since we at Empire Online abandoned our lives and loved ones to being you our marathon coverage of the London Film Festival? Apparently so and, as this year's festival kicks of this evening, we're going to do it all over again. There are a wealth of goodies hiding in this year's line-up, including Bill Murray's turn in Lost in Translation, Isabel Coixet's phenomenal My Life Without Me, hack 'n' slash samurai flick, Zatoichi and Lars Von Trier's Dogville, to name but a few. Jane Campion's In The Cut is this year's opening film however, and it will be premiering at the Odeon Leicester Square tonight to ensure the festival kicks off in style. Meg Ryan, Mark Ruffalo, Anthony Minghella and Campion herself will be in attendance and wouldn't you know it but so will we. Beginning this year's LFF as we mean to go on, we'll be at the gala to speak to Meg and the gang.
