Ritchie plans summer shoot for Moors and Christians film

Ever since the events of September 11, Hollywood has been busy doing a massive U-turn on any project that could be remotely considered insensitive stuff. But one UK film production team is forging ahead with a film that until a few months ago, went by the unfortunate name of 'Jihad'. In an interview in today's Independent newspaper, Guy Ritchie and Matthew Vaughn have confirmed that they are still planning to make a movie on the 16th century Seige of Malta. 'Jihad' as it was once known, tells the story of a small band of Christian knights who held out valiantly against a Muslim army more than four times their size. The larger army, as Ritchie delicately puts it, 'got a good spanking and left with their tail between their legs.' Although the terrorists attacks on America meant the project was put on hold for a few months, the duo recently resurrected the film and are planning to make it this summer. As Ritchie explains, the movie - for which they're still searching for a title - will focus on the action rather than the religious aspect of the siege. 'I am very anti-Christian.
