This summer's predicted big blockbuster, Godzilla, remained top of the box-office earnings charts over the weekend for the second week. Despite this, it's a disappointment for Sony, who've been trailing the movie for a year in one of the biggest marketing exercises ever seen, as its earning have fallen well short of forecasts. Sony marketing chief Robert Levin complained in the LA Times that the press have overplayed the story of the campaign, while cinema chains in the States have said they expect their earnings to suffer as a result of the film's relative failure.
